In our small-group lessons, we can work closely with each student and  give lots of targeted feedback. We plan and draft responses to real exam questions, examining a wide range of classic texts so children are prepared for any exam task. Our pupils understand what the question is really asking for and they are ready to answer with a range of suitable answers.

 

We don't teach towards any one paper but we embed the core skills of English analysis and writing so that students can succeed in any exam. The small-group format allows us to set personalised targets, and to check each student's progress every lesson through weekly homework tasks. Our pupils make fantastic progress because they understand how to unpick complicated texts and they can express themselves in a variety of high-scoring ways.
